Aircraft skins for IL2 Sturmovik

Hurricane I of RAF 274 Sqn (s/n P2544)
Aug 1940 - Oct 1940
Historical skin
One of the first Hurricanes delivered to 274 Sqn, P2544 served with the squadron until Spring 1941 when it was sent to No.71 OTU. It was severely damaged on 6th June 1941 after a forced landing at Ismailia. The aircraft was then used as an instructional airframe until struck off charge. One of the pilots who flew on this aircraft with 274 Sqn was Flt Lt A.A.P. Weller, DFC.

Hurricane I of RAF 274 Sqn (s/n P2643)
Aug 1940 - Oct 1940
Historical skin
This aircraft depicts Sqn Ldr P.H. Dunn's personal aircraft. Note the squadron leader's pennant under the cockpit.

Hurricane I of RAF 274 Sqn (s/n unknown)

Late 1940
Historical skin
This aircraft is based on a picture in the book Hurricanes over Tobruk by Brian Cull and Don Minterne. The picture shows a rare view of the NH codes which soon gave way to a painted lightning flash through the fuselage roundel. The aircraft does not carry the individual code letter. The serial number is illegible, but Z4312 was a Hurricane that served with 274 Sqn at the time.

Hurricane I of RAF 274 Sqn (s/n P2638)
Summer 1941
Historical skin
This aircraft shows the lightning flash though the fuselage roundel that was characteristic of 274 Sqn. The front nose and leading edges of the wings have been painted in a lighter shade of Sand and Green splotches to simulate Italian aircraft when flying head-on at low altitude.

Hurricane II B of RAF 274 Sqn (s/n HL795)
Oct 1941 - May 1942
Historical skin
When the squadron converted to the Hurricane II B, the lightning flash through the fuselage roundel was maintained.

Morane-Saulnier MS.406 of N°2 French Fighter Flight (s/n AX674)

Jul - Sept 1940
Historical skin
The French Flight aircraft that served with 80 Sqn and later 274 Sqn retained their original camouflage and squadron insignia, while the French national markings were replaced by British markings. Serial numbers were issued, but apparently these were not carried. This particular aircraft still shows the insignia of GC I/7 1°escadrille. In addition, the
underside wings are painted in the RAF black/white pattern.

Morane-Saulnier MS.406 of N°2 French Fighter Flight (s/n AX675)
Jul - Sept 1940
Historical skin
Only 2 Moranes were available when the French Flight was serving with 274 Sqn. This particular aircraft still carries the insignia of GC I/7 2°escadrille. Note that the roundels are missing on the underside wings.

Spitfire MkXIc of RAF 322 Sqn (s/n BM515)

Aircraft named “Prinses Beatrix”, flown by Flt Lt Jan Plesman.
