Gradual Isolation

Was as already mentioned, founded in 1990 and the musical activities became too far diverted from the original Gradual Isolation concept to justify the continuance of this name somewhere in 1996.

Although in this period a massive amount of songs and improvisation session were created and recorded to cassette, there has been only one gig and that was in 1991. see pictures of this gig

For the lost souls who knew Gradual Isolation in those days (hello friends, fans, ...) a non-commercial compilation of the best Gradual Isolation works is available on 2 CD, just E-mail me for futher details.
Needless to say that the sound quality even after digital enhancing and noise suppression is not so great, because all original recordings were made on Cr02 compact cassettes at normal speed, but if the nostalgia is eating your heart out and you're listening to the old Gradual Isolation songs, you won't even hear the NOISE and dropouts.
Especially in the first years we were very inspired by electro groups like: Psyche, Cabaret Voltaire, The Cassandra complex, The Klinik, Skinny Puppy, Clock DVA... our own music was a mix of these influences and definitely had a predominant dark atmosphere.
To give you an idea of the music we made those days, I've included some MP3 files to download, excerpts out of songs recorded through the years. I encoded these excerpts at 56Kbps to keep the file size low, and sound quality acceptable.

The Yellow Moon.MP3 Recorded 1990, 65 second excerpt, 470 kB
Billboard Poster.MP3 Recorded somewhere between 1991 and 1993, 52 second excerpt, 436 kB
Agony By Men.MP3 Recorded somewhere between 1991 and 1993, 53 second excerpt, 369 kB
07XF.MP3 Recorded somewhere between 1993 and 1996, 52 second excerpt, 362 kB
Trapped Under Ice.MP3 Recorded 1996, 71 second excerpt, 492 kB
Unnamed.MP3 Recorded after 1996 (post Gradual Isolation) 44 second excerpt, 316 kB
