Hellemans Flour Mills is an industrial flour mill on the south-bank
of the river "Nete" in Lier. I estimate that the mill must
be out of business for 20 to 30 years. The site basicly consists
of two large buildings, connected by a hanging corridor on
the 3th floor. The building on the east side has the grain
warehouse next to it, a white concrete structure even higher
than the east building itself.
Today, the mill still exists, but some project developer is
converting it into a modern complex with undergound parking
places a café and lofts, not a place for people who
like the beauty of an industrial complex in decay.
