Not a single roof is intact and many parts look dangerously unstable or are inaccessible due to collapsed roofs. The protected old steam engine and electric generator are still there, although they are in a terrible shape. In 1986 there was an attempt to make this protected piece of industrial heritage disappear, part of the steam boilers has been scrapped in this operation that was supposed to go by unnoticed. Someone found out however and all was put to work to stop the demolition work. The demolition was stopped but the damage remains.
