It was certainly worth the climb all the way up to the platform on top of the electric control panel. What an experience it must have been to stand at this exact position when the machine was still working. It must have been great to hear the drone of the rotating machine, the clicking of the valves, the puffing of steam and to feel the entire building vibrate with it. |
