After 100 years the last blast furnance was shut down and the curtain fell for "Haut Fourneau" Lorfonte Uckange. Blast furnace N°4 is still there today and so are some auxiliary buildings. In the years that passed since it shut down not that much has changed. The metal is rusting and plants are growing where they shouldn't grow while some things are vandalized, but basically everything is still where it was. It's a place of great beauty and you experience an atmosphere of peace when you walk amongst the huge decaying structures.
