Frequently Asked Questions
|
|
When are you
open? The youth hostel is open from 7am to 11pm every day (occasional -but rare- closure between 11am and 3pm). The rooms are accessible
from 3pm onwards on the day of arrival. If you
come with a group, you can
book one of our function
rooms from the morning
of your day of arrival until the evening of your day of departure (rooms must be vacated by
10am). Free lockers are available in the corridor
and accessible all day. PLEASE NOTE: unpaid reservations are valid until 6pm on the day of arrival. If you are arriving
later than that, let us know in advance
or give us a ring on the day itself to reconfirm your booking. If you
have not arrived by 6pm, and we haven't heard from you,
we will assume you are no longer
coming and might give your beds away.
Reservations with prepayment and on-line reservations
are valid until 10pm in any case, even without notification.
It is not possible to check in after
10pm, sorry. We will be
closed from December 16th
2012 until January 13th
2013. Do we have to be "in" at a
certain hour? Do we have
to do chores? No, we give you
a magnetic key card that allows you
to enter the building day and night.
Once you are checked in, you do not have to leave the building during the day. We expect you to feel at home and to act accordingly:
after breakfast we would like you
to clean up your own
mess. Do leave the room in a decent manner. But we do not have chores any more. Should we bring
sheets or a sleeping bag? Two sheets and one
pillowcase are included
in the price. Blankets
are present in the room. Towels should
be brought by you or
can be rented at the reception. Soap etc is not available.
You do not have to bring a sleeping bag!
Why do we have to bring our passports? The Leuven police requires that every guest registers upon arrival in the hostel. They check this every night. If you do not
have a passport or id
card with you, we cannot allow you to stay in the hostel. Is there a maximum age to stay in the hostel? No. Everybody is welcome.
There is a young atmosphere in the hostel and we do not
offer hotel service (wake-up call,
breakfast on bed, ...) but if that
is fine with you, you are welcome! Is there a maximum number of nights I can stay? You can stay for up to six nights. Are meals available? Breakfast is included
in the price. We serve it
every morning from 7.30am to 9am. On Saturday and Sunday morning, breakfast is served between 8am and 10am. You can order a packed lunch upon arrival or beforehand.
Dinner is available when at least 15 people have booked it; however we serve snacks in
the bar every night. The rates are available here. Unfortunately we do not have a members kitchen.
Do we need a membership
card? You must have a membership
card. You should buy this in your
own country in an
official Hostelling International hostel. If you are already travelling, you must purchase a Welcome Stamp for 3,00 EUR. If you collect
6 stamps, the card counts as membership
card. It stays valid for one
year in over 4 000 hostels worldwide.
What do your
rooms look like? What else does the hostel have? Most of our rooms are 4-person
rooms. We have some 2- and some
6-person rooms as well. All rooms have a toilet and
a shower. Smoking, eating
or drinking is not allowed in the rooms. The youth hostel has function rooms, a bar, a lounge with
tv and games, a patio and a restaurant.

can book here! |
