Update 2009/01/25 : 3.3 Beta had the same bug as 3.2 (crashing after ~10 minutes), use the latest version.

A Beta version for DesktopZoom 3.3 can be downloaded here.
It has language support for Dutch (=Nederlands) and French (Français).

I'm looking for people who are willing to translate it to other languages (Spanish, German, ...).
Translating can be done by taking "English.txt" in the subdirectory "lang" and translate it.
Loading your new translation can be done in DesktopZoom : Settings -> Language

Created new Aero disabler test , things to test :
- Which of the 4 disable buttons works ?
- Does the enable button work ?
- Is the log different when you push disable Aero when it was already disabled ?

Created new Faster Smooth algorithme :
My old Smooth algorithme gives very good results, but it is slow
it takes about 0.4 seconds to smooth a single image on my PC.
The new Smoothing algorithm is much faster at 0.04 seconds / image,
but the result is not as good (more blocky, text not as readable as old smooth)

A new try for Vista.
I created a small testprogram that will try to disable Vista and log the result of every line of code.

If anyone is
willing to run this on Vista and mail me the results, i would be very grateful.

What should be tested :
  1. On program start the zoom window should give strange results, especially when the mouse is in the window
  2. After you push 'disable Aero' the Zoom window should work normally and all Windows should look more like on XP
  3. When enabling Aero again everything should work like in 1)

2008/11/13 Update: This doesn't seem to work on Vista, i will put it in the freezer until i have a Vista machine

A Beta version for DesktopZoom 3.2 is available from here.

Change since 3.1 :

- Automatically disable Aero on Windows Vista :
    - When the zooming starts DesktopZoom should disable Aero
(all windows will look like on an XP machine)
    - As soon as you stop zooming, Aero should return,
but only if it was active before you started zooming.

I can't test the automatic disabling of Aero in Windows Vista, because I don't have access to a PC with Vista.
If anyone is willing to test this, than I would be grateful if you mail your findings.
