    KOMO-TEC - One Eleven Projects
The german company KOMO-TEC designed some new front and rear spoilers. The latest one was in association with the other German company "One eleven Projects" which we know from the Essen Motor Show where they introduced the 240HP Elise. www.111projects.com

    Autostyle solutions
When Lotus launched the Elise the possibility of a removable targa top was advertised. Lotus developed a prototype and filed for patent protection for the concept. However, technical difficulties have prevented Lotus from offering a finished product so far to the high standard that is expected from the Lotus customer in the discerning market place. Tigga Reese has independently developed a prototype of a removable targa top roof for the Elise. Since the early availability of such a product would be of benefit to Elise owners, Lotus has agreed not to use its patent rights to stop the sale of the roof developed by Tigga and his colleagues. Lotus wishes them success in their venture, which will remain independent from and not in any way controlled by Lotus.” The previous statement was prepared by attorneys acting on behalf of Lotus Cars Limited.
The T-Bar roof solution is an innovative hardtop that hinges on both sides allowing easier access. Both panels can be quickly removed and conveniently stored in the boot for an open top experience.

Autostyle solution has also designed a front splitter, rear diffuser and other air intake grilles. The splitter generates downforce at the front of the car that can provide added stability at higher speeds.

Air sucked under the car at the front will travel faster and therefore there is a reduction in pressure which is suction to the road. The diffuser can be used though to further reduce the pressure at the rear of the car by two means:

Strakes - These prevent the airflow which is split at the front of the rear tyres from disrupting the airflow over the diffuser. They can also create mini vortices which will prevent the airflow separating from the diffuser (Concorde Wing philosophy). The strakes will also prevent larger drag forming vortices.

Extending diffuser to exhaust exits - Normally exhaust gases will mix with the airflow causing a turbulent air mass. Extending the diffuser will ensure smoother faster air is present at this point. For the diffuser to work very well in this area, it is ideal if the diffuser could be parallel with the exhaust gas flow. This is difficult with the Elise but there will be an improvement.

    Lotus Specials
Very nice looking rear diffuser; it is regrettable that Lotus Specials has their own sport silencer which fits in place of any standard silencer.

    Alvan Lotus kit
There Aero Kit exist in 2 different materials and both have a top quality finish. In composite fibre ready to be painted in the body colour of your car or in varnished carbon fibre ready to be mounted on your Elise. Each Kit comes with fitting kit (nuts, bolts, washers) and fitting instruction for an easy and straightforward positioning. Parts can be ordered separately, but we highly recommend to use front and rear spoilers together to assure a correct Aerodynamic balance ! It is all right to use the rear extractor separately.
