Luc's Guitar Pages

Guitar player Luc Van Steenbergen,
born 1964 in Turnhout, Belgium, was awarded a silver medal
with funk soulrockband StickS'N'StoneS, Humo's Rock Rally 1994,
placed only after Evil Superstars with Mauro Pawlowski.

During his career Luc gained experience as a live music performer
and also as a studio guitar player in numerous projects
and in different genres of music.

He performed on national and international stages such as
Bourlaschouwburg Antwerp, Phil's Jazz Kitchen Brussels,
Melkweg Amsterdam, Woordfees Festival Stellenbosh (South Africa),
Rock Am Wald Festival Frankfurt, and on the cruise ship 'The Pride of York'
P&O North Sea Ferries, from Zeebrugge to Hull (Great Britain).

At present, Luc has a pleasant, classical,
fingerstyle solo guitar repertoire, that brings life to quiet events,
and his electric fusion trio's are ideal for more lively and bigger events,
such as festivals, artistic music cafés, parties, receptions.

Luc Van Steenbergen is also a professional guitar instructor
and is available for workshops and private teaching of both
classical fingerstyle guitar and electric flatpicking guitar.
His teaching style is beginner friendly and
accessible to absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced students,
and Luc has been teaching and studying guitar since 1994.

With a keen interest in music and the arts in general,
Luc promotes a vision that transcends boundaries between
the different genres, cultures and creative arts and
it is this passion that has profoundly influenced
his style of guitar playing, which is inspired by guitarists such as
Vini Reilly, Johnny Marr, Mark Knopfler, Lindsey Buckingham,
Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Frank Zappa,
George Benson, Mike Stern, John Scofield.
