 In the area several world-class :

  •          SANTA CLARA

This is a new 18 hole golf course situated near the hotel Los Monteros. It has a very elegant clubhouse with modern facilities. A buggy shuttle service transports you from the car park of the golf course to their clubhouse. Max handicaps men 27, ladies 34

  •          SANTA MARIA

An 18 hole par 70 golf course near to the resort designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido. This course traces the contours of the valley and offers beautiful views over the Mediterranean sea. The 6th hole, which is par 3, is particularly challenging. It is noted for being the friendliest club on the coast. Excellent practice facilities. Max handicaps men 28, ladies 36.

  •          LOS FLAMINGOS     

This course is located between Marbella and Estepona. It is challenging course and noted for its breathtaking views of El Mediterranean, North Africa and Gibraltar. It has been chosen to host the European senior Match Play Championship in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Max handicaps men 27, ladies 35.

 

  •          LA QUINTA                

This is an unforgivingly up and down course, demanding accuracy and stamina. Generally tees are elevated, affording excellent visibility and fairways are widened to receive good tee shots – but beware of the trees, water and large shallow bunkers. The long 15th with a dogleg is rated the most difficult hole. Max handicaps men 24, ladies 36.

 

  •          MARBELLA GOLF

This par 71 course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, is located conveniently near the Marriott Resort and has an excellent club house. It has gently undulating fairways with greens that are well guarded and are difficult as there are few straight putts. A testing but highly enjoyable round of golf. Max handicaps men 26, ladies 34.

 

  •          MONTEMAYOR

This rustic golf course, par 71, was designed by Jose Gancedo and is situated high up in the mountains of Benahavis – which makes it a challenging proposition and a golf course to remember. No wonder a buggy is included in the green fee. Max handicaps men 28, ladies 36.
 

  •          CABOPINO

This popular par 71 course is of a modern design and is located between Fuengirola and Marbella. It opened in 2001. Max handicaps men 27, ladies 35.
 

  •          GREENLIFE

This is the only 18 hole golf course that goes not require a handicap certificate. It is located near to the Marriott Resort and offers a good game of golf to all comers. No handicap.
