U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B: -Commanded by Captain John Harriman.
-Damaged during maiden voyage by energy ribbon known as Nexus.
-Named in honor of U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A.
U.S.S. Lakota NCC-42768: -Commanded by Captain Erika Benteen.
-Attacked U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 under command of
Lieutenant Commander Worf during Dominion crisis of 2372 because
Captain Erika Benteen was told by Admiral Leyton that the ship was
taken over by a group of shapeshifters.
-Named for the Native American tribe and the peak near Hermosa, South
Dakota, North America.
NOTE: It is very doubtful that Starfleet would have
waited for about 80 years to refit the U.S.S. Lakota NCC-42768 like the
U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B, when this was clearly the first starship
to leave spacedock as an Excelsior class II. So, I therefore conclude that
there must have been a number of other Excelsior class II starships which
are unknown to us or some of the ships mentioned with the original Excelsior
class starships are upgraded to the Excelsior class II as well.
