I didn't have the time yet to get trough the book in detail. All I know right now is that the material in there would be enough to fill 2 books with. The book contains a lot of new models and of developments Peter has been working on for the last 5 years (as far as I know). Some of the material appeared in an early form in articles Peter wrote during that periodCard catalog description
Are you aware? Most people, asked that question, would answer, "Of course I am". However, few have learned to awaken the full possibilities of their awareness, so as to enjoy greater accomplishment in every area of their lives. Pure awareness is the most significant yet least understood resource we have. It is also the key to the survival and well-being of our whole world. This practical and comprehensive handbook provides an in-depth course in developing and integrating awareness - to help to release one's creativity, to transform individual and organisational skills and generally to live a more enjoyable and productive daily life.
I've seen several NLP trainers playing with the idea of making your dreams work for you, whether it was to "digest" the training material of the day, or to prepare for the following day. This book takes the possibilities of the unconscious to a new level. Tad James used all his NLP and Time Line skills to develop a self-help package to program your dreams and desires so that you reach more of your potential. By the use of metaphor the author ensured that the material requires no previous NLP knowledge at all.
One can discuss in what category this book
really fits. A category like "spiritualism"
could be used as well as learning. However, this book is
about a subject that we all should learn: the next step
in our personal evolution, after reaching adulthood and
maturity.
Wolfgang goes back to the roots, not only of NLP but also
to the beginning of our life. That the authors knows the
roots of NLP shows when you read his reference-list: it
contains the books of Bateson, as well as the books of
Korzybski. Going back to the beginning of our life is the
goal of the book, or rather, going back to the period of
our life where we didn't have build our set of beliefs
and filters. This set of beliefs and filters have been
enabling, but at a certain point they may become
limiting, and thus reducing our ability to learn, or
"reducing our ability to get (back) into contact
with our roots", as the author puts it. This book
shows a way to reach the "pre-sensorial state",
the state where one doesn't need to give a meaning to
observations (that Zen refers to as well). The way to
reach this state is based on the experience that Wolfgang
has build up with during the last decade.
This is a reworked German version of 'Le Chant des Sirčnes' (see higher)
This book has a less ambitious approach to spriritual development: it features a straightforward approach where peole are helped to define and to reach their mission by applying standard NLP models, such as the logical levels. Since the book only appeared in Dutch, I refer to the Dutch Booklist of the Belgian NLP site or to the web site of the author for more information.
