COLOSSUS - ... AND THE RIFT OF THE PAN-DIMENSIONAL UNDER-GODS

KILLER METAL RECORDS

Metal To Infinity

Well, this is a re-release of the original 2008 debut album of this Traditional Heavy Metal band from the USA. Colossus is the name of gang and they originated from Raleigh, North Carolina.  I guess that we are dealing with a band that consists of youngsters that want to have a great time.

They bring their Heavy Metal songs with a lot of influences of Iron Maiden (“Salamandastron”), Angel Witch, Triumph, Saxon and Priest. What they deliver is just pure amusement, nothing new at all, but they play the songs with so much enthusiasm that you will dig it! The vocals of Sean Buchanan are really typical, and although he’s not the best singer in town, he sounds like he had a lot of fun during the recording process, with a positive end result!

The guitars of Nicky Nixon and Bill Fischer are played fresh, well riffed and contain enough variety, while the bass of Ry Eshelman and the drums of Ben Smith deliver a good foundation.  It’s great that a label like Killer Metal Records from Germany offers bands of this quality a deal, so their product can be spread in Europe as well.

This is no-nonsense Heavy Metal with a lot of fun, so who can be against this? Compared with the album title, is the music much less complicated! http://www.myspace.com/thecolossuswillcrushyou
