The main reason for this Special is my interest in this instrument, one of the causes for my liking of Metal. Drums are a very important element in Metal, as important as the guitars, maybe more. Many styles can be played and several levels of technicality can be applied to this wonderful piece of percussion. In interviews one usually doesn't go very deep regarding instrumentality and it's mostly the vocalist, guitarist or keyboardist that answers anything band or album related. That's why a specific interview can solve that 'problem'. Below you'll find updates per day I get the replies back. Considering the many bands and many veterans in Metal, I don't want to put a limit in time on this inquiry. So far, only a few have answered, others still need to and the list of people to contact is even bigger. I hope you'll enjoy the insight these drummers provide, no matter if they play in a well-known or a less-known band.
