Onderwaterfoto's Michel
Ik ben geboren en opgegroeid in Bonheiden, nadien verhuist naar Mechelen. Sinds 1985 ben ik gestart met het bestuderen van vissen. Een eerste aquarium met zoet water, daarna met zeewater. Na de opleiding van duiker in 1996, probeerde ik foto's te maken van het leven onderwater. Eerst met een wegwerpcamera, daarna met de ikelite AQUAshot 3e waarin kartonnen camera konden geplaatst worden en later een fototoestel met APS fotoformaat. De digitale fototoestellen brachten een ganse omwenteling. Een ikelite behuizing voor een olympus 3030, 3040 en 4040 met externe optische flits INON. Uiteindelijk heb ik beslist om een spiegelreflex camera aan te schaffen in 2005 met ikelite behuizing en externe flits DS-125. De gastropoda of naaktslakjes genieten momenteel mijn voorkeur. In 2009 heb ik een HDV camera aangeschaft, wie weet komt er nog een behuizing bij en kunnen we ook mooie bewegende beelden maken van de onderwaterwereld.

I was grown up in Bonheiden (Belgium) and moved later to Mechelen. Since 1985 I collected fish in tanks, first in fresh water later in sea water. In 1996 I started a training with a CMAS club in Belgium. Very soon I wanted to take pictures underwater and show the underwater life to others. My first camera was a singke use cmaera, later a took pictures with a housing from Ikelite, the AQUAshot 3e. I could take pictures on a single use camera made of paper and afterwards I used the plastic APS camera with automatic advance engine. The digital age in photocamera's opened a new world. An Ikelite housing for the olympus 3030, 3040 en 4040 with external flash from INON. Eventually I bought a reflex camera in 2005 with ikelite housing and an external flash type DS-125. Gastropoda or nudibranches are my favorite subject. Recently I bought a HDV video camera, and maybe I will be able to show you als moving images of the beauty of the underwaterworld.
