BOXING AT THE SYDNEY 2000 OLYMPICS

The Olympic boxing event takes place in Hall 3 of the Sydney Exhibition Centre (Darling Harbour). The first round starts on September 16, the finals are on September 30 and October 1. The winners get a gold medal, the second finishers a silver medal, and both losers of the semi-finals get bronze medals.

The Olympic boxing tournament is an elimination tournament. Each bout consists of four two-minute rounds, with one-minute intervals.
