Maria Martha was born on August 3rd, 1886 in Grootloon. Maria Martha's father was Willem Bierwerts and her mother was Anna Margaritha Lemmens. Her paternal grandparents were Egidius Gilis Bierwerts and Anna Elisabeth Colien; her maternal grandparents were Pieter Lemmens and Isabella Tits. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Joannes, Pieter Lambert, Pieter Franciscus, Lodewijk, Joseph, Maria Elisabeth, Elisabeth and Maria Louisa. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 48 on August 29th, 1934 in Grootloon.
