The Miniatures Hippodrome is located in the green countryside south-west of
Brussels just 10 Miles from the Belgian capital. Our farm was born in 1996 when
we had the opportunity to visit an American Miniature Horse ranch near San
Francisco, California, named Winners Circle Ranch. The horses we saw there were
so different from all other so called "miniature horses" that we found
in our country. These became the pillars of our farm; we were not satisfied with
the miniature Shetland derivatives but started with a good foundation and a very
precise goal. In March 1997 our first Miniatures arrived from the US. The very
first start was not a very easy one; the adjustment of "the little
Americans" needed time and a lot of TLC. From the very beginning we had
confirmation of our ideas; in competition we were mostly placed among the best,
by judges as well as by spectators... since then we've never been placed below 5th
and mostly we are placed in the top 3. The first foals born in 1998 proved
beyond a shadow of doubt that our breeding program would achieve our goal; the
breeding of a little horse whose outlooks approach those of an Arabian horse as
close as possible and whose height is not taller than 34 inches measured on the
last hair of the mane.
For our breeding program we are using horses of special bloodlines, well known
for their good offspring, so that we are sure to get some foals of the highest
quality with the type and conformation of the modern American Miniature Horse -
known for its refinement and elegancy.
Our stallions are all licenced for outside brood mares at BMHS and placed always in the top 5 with
all 1 premiums. The 5 stallions we possess at the moment are pure-bred American.
All the horses we use for our breeding program possess American papers
(AMHA)and all are DNA tested, some of them are even parentage qualified. With
the purchase of an MH horse, you will get honest AMHA papers and a official
passport with a good pedigree that can be traced back.
