Onderwerp : The Bachmann B-12 Cocktail Story

I am having GREAT results with the Bachmann B-12 cocktail!! And what is this you ask?
It is Bragg's apple cider vinegar and Earthrise spirulina.  I think this combo may mimic what Procarin does - the apple cider vinegar stimulates stomach production of hydrochloric acid/intrinsic factor and the spirulina provides the B-12 that is actually getting into my system.  I never noticed anything from B-12 shots (beyond muscle twitches from the cyanocobalimin), I mean I never got any energy boost
from them.  Then George at Key Pharmacy said something that turned on a light bulb -that if you didn't have intrinsic factor, then the B-12 can't be utilized no way, no how.  Duh.  I stumbled into a way to treat my MS symptoms 3 years ago, only I didn't intellectually understand what had happened.  Hope you have time for a story:

In 1996 I was having constant bladder infections - they never stopped. At that time I got talking to a woman from New York that claimed she could control her MS symptoms by taking Cell-Tech's  Super Blue Green Algae. Well, being "open-minded" I decided to give it a try.
I took  it for
3 months and the only thing I noticed was greater heat tolerance, like I could take a hot shower and not melt.  I kept wondering what was in the algae that could do this, but frankly it was so expensive that I didn't think that one benefit was worth the monthly cost.

Then my HMO put me on a  drug called Hipprex - which turns the urine into formeldehyde if taken with vitamin C. Well, I had to take incredible amounts of vitamin C in order to acheive the proper acidity to make the Hipprex work - like 30 GRAMS!
The urologist was amazed, and shook his head in wonder, but offered no help.  Then I realized the reason I had to take so much was  because I wasn't breaking the tablets down in my stomach. Now you would think I would have clued into the no  stomach acid clue at this time, but
I didn't. I went to Florida on vacation and I was desperate  not to have another infection. I started to take Bragg's apple cider vinegar to help
dissolve the     vitamin C...this worked very well...but at the same time I noticed that all my spasticity disappeared and I was out in the
heat of Florida without a problem and my bowels worked properly and I just had this amazing, amazing reduction in MS symptoms.  I trekked across the sand of Siesta beach!!   But I didn't think the algae had anything to do with it because I had taken it for so long (the 3
months) without seeing improvement.  In Florida I took the algae, the vitamin C, and the Bragg's all at once, in the morning.

When I got back from Florida, where I did develop another infection, they took me off the Hipprex and I consequently stopped doing the vinegar and vitamin C and when the algae ran out, I didn't order any more. I also experienced a return of all the MS symptoms. Now at the time I am speaking of, I was also taking high amounts of acidophilus to try and combat the infections and brewer's yeast and a couple of other things. It has taken me all this time to figure out that what was being effective was the Bragg's vinegar and the algae. Now Cell-Tech's products are very expensive and I think I was mentally against having to spend so much on this algae - I never thought until recently that
another brand of algae might work as well - that what is so critical in the algae is the B-12...and that the vinegar is what helps get the B-12 into the system.

When things "clicked" a couple of weeks ago, I decided that I would try this combo again. And I made  the "mistake" of starting it after a week of the Procarin - I know you should not start new things at one time, but I was so excited when I realized what an idiot I'd been and that I had stumbled  into something that totally reduces spasticity and other MS symptoms almost 3 years ago...I just hadn't put the "science" behind it together intellectually. I am using Earthrise spirulina - they have an excellent website at http://www.earthrise.com
It is inexpensive and so is Bragg's...and I am seeing the start of the same results I had in Florida - the spasticity is lessening, heat intolerance is lessening, energy is stabalizing....it's amazing....my feet are like **totally** ticklish.  I do have to play with dosages of the vinegar -
it seems to be what controls the spasticity....

So I am wondering now if there isn't a much simpler way to do what Procarin does - ie raising stomach acid levels raises histamine levels with the vinegar, and then get that B-12 in there and see what happens!  So many of the MS neurological symptoms are the neurological symptoms of pernious anemia - but I don't understand why B-12 shots don't work in MS as obviously, those with pernious anemia don't have the intrinsic factor either.  George at Key said that the B-12 also has to be bound to a protein to work - maybe this is why the spirulina works, because the B-12 is bound to the algae that is 70% protein...

I have posted about the Bachmann B-12 cocktail in a couple of places.  I need more people to try it - a couple on the Procarin board said they would while they jump through the hoops to get Procarin.  But I am so amazed at what can happen with the vinegar/algae - I think I may have stumbled into something really significant!  Anyway, for me, the spriulina has the added benefit of removing mercury from the system - maybe that is how mercury ultimately causes MS - by hijacking the B-12 into becoming a methyl donor...
This is the story of how I came upon this combo....the cocktail is as follows:

MS symptoms correlate to a lack of B-12 (incuding heat intolerance). After spending hundred of dollars on various supplments, trying to figure out what works I have hit on the right combo!  And that is Bragg's raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar and spirulina.  The  vinegar stimulates hydrochloric acid production (most MS folk are deficient in stomach acid) -  and the spirulina provides a form of B-12 that gets into the system...

Start slow as spirulina can have some major cleansing effects.  Take 2 tabs at first and slowly increase according to tolerance.  The vinegar
is about 5% acidity - tolerance levels will vary here also.  It will take some experimenting to see what is best for the individual. I find
the more vinegar I can do, the less spasticity I have.

Take a teacup, fill with 2/3 water and fill the rest with vinegar. Swallow two tabs of spirulina with the vinegar mixture... drink up to 1/3 of the cup.  Don't eat for fifteen or twenty minutes, than have your meal.  I am using Earthrise spirulina, found at any good health food store.  Over time, increase spirulina to 8-12 tabs/day.  And drink a small glass of water with about 1/8 cup of vinegar at night if bladder irritation is not unmanageable.

The first thing you will notice is complete relief of constipation - the constipation of MS seems to be related to the low stomach acid.  Over
time, you will notice the numbness decreasing and improved balance etc.  I am not out of the woods yet - the nervous system takes a long time to heal - but this is the only thing that I have done that has induced improvement thus far....

I am sending this out to a couple more people because I am convinced that if it helps me it will help others. I was tested for B-12 and my serum levels were fine - but that test does not mean the B-12 is getting into the brain/central nervous system.  Put aside your skepticism and try this - it will cost you about 20 bucks and you just might be as amazed as I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
