About EduKator
 |
EduKator is an educational program made for KDE. I made this software as a part of my thesis.
I'm in last year of high school.
I want to help people gain knowledge about physical and mathematical
statements in a way that it is fun to do. The theory is explained and
it is possible to make exercises.
My aim is to make a nice program that can be used in schools and at home.

An overview of all the projects:
- Educational project Optics
This program teaches you the basic rules of optics.
- Educational project dubblerates
This program represents dubblerates graphically.
- Educational project Archimedes
This project teaches you the basics of Archimedes.
- Educational project Extrema Problems
This
programs teaches you all about extrema problems or said in another way,
it helps you find all kinds of extreme values like minimum and maximum
of a function.
--> All the projects consist of an
animation to get familiar with the subject. The user will be able to
adjust parameters and then see how this changes the process in another part of the program. The
theory is always explained and
exercises can be performed.
Edukator exists out of 6000 lines of code and 1200 lines of html files, which are the exercises and the theory.
The program was written in Dutch but has been completely translated to English.
EduKator is written in C++ and based on QT, so I want to thank
Trolltech for making such a good toolkit! I use the GPL or General
Public License, so eveybody may use the sourcecode to develop a new GPL
application.
btw: All help is welcome :-)
About developer
Since I made the programs as part of my thesis, I started the project alone.
The whole design and development of the program was realised by myself in just 5 months.
I did get some help with the translations from Dutch to English from my buddy Thomas Decoster.
Nevertheless, all help is welcome and I would appreciate all the help I can get. (translations from Dutch to English, more exercises, new programs, ideas, ...)
