Stuffed Oysters Italienne
Ingredients:
- 24 oysters on the half-shell
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic -- minced
- 1/8 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 shallot -- chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- salt and pepper -- to taste
- cayenne
Preparation:
- Arrange oysters on baking sheet. Melt butter and add oil garlic, parsley, shallot, basil, and bread crumbs. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and cayenne. Mound mixture over oysters and cover with foil. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
