Bowknots
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf sandwich bread -- thin sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 12 strips bacon -- halved
Preparation:
- Trim all crust off bread.
- Spread soup on one side of bread slices, being careful to cover edges.
- Roll each slice from one corner to opposite corner.
- Wrap half bacon strip around middle.
- Secure with toothpick.
- Place on cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour.
- Bowknots will be dry and crisp and very delicious . Prepared bowknots can be frozen before baking. Place on flat pan and when frozen solid transfer to freezer bags. Bake without thawing.
