Fizzy Sangria
Ingredients:
- 1 gallon Zinfandel wine (about 5 bottles, each 750 milliliters)
- 1 quart orange juice
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 5 to 6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 bottle (1 liter) club soda, optional
- 1 navel orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Orange slices, lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Preparation:
- Stir together wine and next 5 ingredients until sugar dissolves.
- Chill until ready to serve.
- Pour mixture into a punch bowl or large pitcher.
- Stir in club soda, if desired, and sliced orange and lemon.
- Serve at once, garnished with fruit slices if desired.
- For an alcohol free version, substitute 12 cups grape juice for Zinfandel, and omit brandy and orange liqueur.
- Reduce sugar to 1 cup
