Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. butter, softened
- 2 lb. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 T. ground cinnamon
- 1 quart plus 4 oz. boiling water
- 1/2 t. ground nutmeg
- 1 t. pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup rum
- 6 cinnamon sticks
Preparation:
- Mix together butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
- Add boiling water and a cup of rum, more or less to the mixture.
- Pour into 6 mugs and garnish with the cinnamon sticks.
