- 1 dozen bananas
- 2 pounds Bermuda onions
- 2/3 cupful molasses
- 1/2 teaspoonful ground ginger
- 1 pound dates
- 1/2 pint water
- 1 teaspoonful salt
- 1 pint vinegar
- 1 teaspoonful allspice
- Cut bananas, dates and onions into small pieces, add spices,
- water and molasses, mix well together.
- Turn into a large stone jar or crock.
- Bake in a slow oven till a rich brown, seal in jars while
