- 2 tablespoons Bacon fat
- 3 tablespoons Flour
- 1 quart Of boiling water
- half a can of milk onion, optional Place 2 tbsp bacon fat and the 3 tbsp flour into a saucepan and stir over a medium fire until the flour is golden brown.
- Than add 1 quart of boiling water and half a can of milk, stirring in slowly until smooth and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- An onion may be added to improve the flavor.
