Peter Goos joined the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Sciences of the Faculty of Applied Economics of the University of Antwerp in October 2004. Before, he was associated to the Department of Applied Economics of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven as a Fellow of the Fund for Scientific Research Flanders (Belgium). He holds a degree in commercial engineering and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics, both from the university of Leuven.
Peter Goos obtained his Ph.D. in the field of
econometrics and statistics. His main research topic is the optimal design of experiments. He published a book as well as several methodological articles on the design and analysis of blocked and split-plot experiments. Other interests of his in this area include discrete choice experiments, model-robust designs, experimental design for non-linear models and for multiresponse data, and Taguchi experiments. Applications of his work
can be found in various disciplines including industrial experimentation, marketing, health economics and quality control. Peter's collaborators and co-authors include Heidi Arnouts (Universiteit Antwerpen), Alex Donev (Astra Zeneca), Marta Emmett (University of Sheffield), Jean-Jacques Garroi (Universiteit Antwerpen), Steve Gilmour (Queen Mary, University of London), Yuri Goegebeur (University of Southern Denmark), Bradley Jones (JMP), Roselinde Kessels (K.U.Leuven), Ivan Langhans (K.U.Leuven, CQ Consultancy), Jim Lucas (J.M.Lucas & Associates), Martina Vandebroek (K.U.Leuven), Eric Schoen (TNO, Universiteit Antwerpen), Sabine Verboven (Universiteit Antwerpen), Bart Vermeulen (K.U.Leuven) and Jie Yu (K.U.Leuven).
