rFactor PB

Preface

rFactor PB is a program that looks for the record times of a list of configurable drivers on your server for a certain track/mod.
The program runs on your rFactor server and FTP's the results to a configurable webserver. If you want your data can be incorporated in koerskast.

Installation

  1. Remember that the tool must be installed on your rFactor server.
  2. Download and install Java6 runtime.
  3. Download rfpb.zip and put the file in your rFactor LOGdirectory (c:\program files\rFactor\UserData\LOG). If you have more rFactor installations on your server you can install the tool multiple times. If you want a seperate systray icon for each running instance just change the rfgreen.ico with an other ico file (but the name has to be rfgreen.ico).
  4. Configuration
    1. vrl.txt : This files contains the names of all the drivers you want the tool to search for (these are the ingame names, not racecast names).
    2. rfpbconfig.txt : Documentation is in the file
  5. Upload style.css to the location you configured rFactorPB to upload its result files to.
  6. If you want to incorporate your results in koerskast send an email to frank.wynants@gmail.com. I will then configure koerskast to do so. (example : http://www.vrl-simracing.be/koerskast/koerskast.php?server=www.vrl-simracing.be).

Usage

  1. Double click on rfPb.jar to launch the program
  2. An icon in the saystray will appear
  3. The program will do its work once an hour.
  4. A file index.html will be created by the tool in the same folder as rFpb.jar. Check if this is the case after a few seconds
  5. If the previous failed something went wrong. Otherwise check your website to see if the uploading of the tool has succeeded. If not recheck the FTP parameters
  6. Whenever you change track/mod you must stop the program, do the changes in the config, and make cache.txt empty.
  7. When doing a league race it is advised to stop rFactorPB. When it does it works it can cause a small hickup (on our P3 1Ghz leagueserver about 0.5 seconds).
  8. Note : The column 'MAX FUEL' contains the amount of fuel burned by this driver in the lap he burned the most fuel. This isn't the fuel burned in the fastest lap (although it could be), this can even be when the driver was racing another car (if he drove his PB with the 79 Williams but burned the most fuel with the 79 Renault the Williams time will be shown together with the fuel level of the Renault).
