1. What is DeltaWin ?

• DeltaWin is navigation program that will help the Navigation Officer to: 
  • build a VOYAGE PLANNING by:
    • introduce new waypoints
    • load existing voyages (compatible with previous versions DeltaDos)
    • Calculate the RHUMBLINE or GREAT CIRCLE  Distances, Courses .....
  • calculate the daily remaining distance and ETA or TARGET Speed
  • display the the voyage on a MAP

• DeltaWin  will run only under Window 95/98/Me/NT(c)
• DeltaWin is  grouped in 1 file containing  3  modules:

Delta ETA Calculation of the ETA for speed range 1-30 kn Target time calculation. World Timezones help files & chart.	Delta PLAN Voyage Planning/distances calculations, waypoints Compatibility with all voyages made under DeltaDos (Any ver.)	Delta MAPVisualisation of the voyage on a 17000 points Mercator world chart.   With zoom capabilities, lat/long mouse position, waypoints displayed 2400 Ports of the world positions.

2.System Requirements

• Windows 95/98/NT
• 486 or higher processor P200 mhz or higher (recommended)
• Mouse or other pointing device
• Colour monitor - 800x600 (recommended)
• Min Memory 8MB, 32MB (recommended)
• Min 4MB HD

3. History

• DeltaDos has been a real hit among Navigation Officers.
• I estimate that DeltaDos is used today by more than 1000 regular users.
• DeltaDos was released for the first time in 1986 on 386 PC, and latest updated in June 1999 under the DeltaDos-99
• DeltaDos runs on any PC configuration.
• Despite its old fashioned Dos presentation, it is still one of the few program available today for voyage planning in this category of affordable navigation software.
• DeltaWin <ETA-PLAN-MAP> was started in 1992 with the new Visual Basic.
• But due to lack of time it took nearly 7 years before I could release it.
• DeltaWin 1.0 was released  on CD Rom  in July 1999 .
• Due to the constant release of new version it is sometime difficult to update the help files !
