SMOKESTACK LIGHTNIN’
Offcourse we all know the song “Smokestack Lightning” by the hand of the legendary Howlin’ Wolf but besides that it’s also the name of this German (Nurenberg) country outfit. This quartet has got four full-lenghts under it’s belt, one split-album with our own The Seatsniffers, one mini-album featuring Paul Ansell and if we’re correct, five singles. Their sound has got a firm country-injected base but they are also no strangers to rough and tough rhythm 'n' blues and rockabilly, following in the footsteps and footstomps of Carl Perkins, Del Reeves, Charlie Rich and others. Besides that they’er well known for their great cover-versions of famous and lesser known songs. After 15 years and counting they’er still on top of their game and they’ll guarantee you one hell of a party! And YES, we’re proud to have this wonderfull band as our closing-act for the evening!
