"Heads and Hate"

Performance about "hate" in "public spaces":

Ruvanti and his students: Katrien Deburghgraeve,

Kim Delbarre, Karen Delbarre, Marijke De Vuyst, Lien Van Bellinghen,

Cathérine De Kock, Sofie De Geyndt, Liesje Van den Bossche,

Leila Mstoian, Jamila Mstoian.

Four students are sitting motionless facing each other before a life audience

in a public space, under a green cloth. Only their heads are visible and

motionless for the public eyes. The green cloth stands for communication.

Their heads are enlarged by purple hats. The purple color stands for meditation.

The form of the hats refer to the inquisition-hats worn by heretics. During the

performance the students try to feel the hate vibrations connected to the

public space. Under the cloth, invisible for the public, they write down

their feelings.
