EUROCONTROL CFMU Golf Team
was pleased to host the ECGC 2005
at Flanders Nippon Golf and Business Club
Hasselt, Belgium.

Now that the ECGC 2005 Tournament has come and gone and before memories fade a little, on behalf of the Organising Committee a big thank you to all who took part and especially to those who sent to us numerous complementary messages on the event.

We enjoyed organising it, lots of hard work pays off in the end. The golf club and hotel management were loud in their praise for the participants and would welcome us all back in the future...... who knows.

Congratulations to all the winners especially the 2005 Team Champions, London Approach.

In organising such a big event it was necessary to enlist the help of quite a few volunteers during the week and I would like to acknowledge the fantastic work they did, namely the Glasby family Christine, Jamie and Robert, also Edgar Zammit and Dave Redford for their work with the scoring, Goran Vujcic for helping with the transport and finally Raymond Jouck for helping us relax with refreshments.

A special word of appreciation to Simon Smidt our webmaster who did such a fantastic job on the web site.

Thanks also to Willy and the Executive Committee for their support and advise, they were always there with a quick response when difficult decisions had to be made. Without the help of Eurocontrol it would not have been possible to run the tournament successfully, the support and encouragement of the Director General Mr Victor Aguado and the Director CFMU Mr JR Bauchet is greatly appreciated.

Finally, we plan to close the web site www.ecgc2005.be at the end of August so if you wish to download anything from the site please do it before then. Our e-mail address, cfmu.ecgc.2005@eurocontrol.int will continue to be operational until next year. It was great to meet you all in Hasselt and look forward to seeing you again in Iceland in 2006.
