Dead Bang (1989)

Don Johnson is Jerry Beck, a Los Angeles homicide detective assigned to find a cop-killer. Sounds routine enough, but the murdered officers turns out to be one of Beck's colleagues. When Beck follows the trail to a white supremacy organization, the case becomes an extraordinary test of the detective's professional and personal limits.
