Biography Mac Styran is a German composer, writer, director, upcoming engineer and artist. He partially teaches sound engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf and apart from composing, he records live orchestras and does mixing jobs. He wrote music for student films and directed and scored Duality in 2002. Beyond the Ring got the ball rolling for more to come, including Crimson Hood and The Caligari Experiment. He loves collaborations with other composers, like his close friends Peter Simons and Thomas-Adam Habuda. "It inspires and brings out the best in me", he says. Professionally he also does 3D animation and programming among other things. His music comes from the heart and he looks up to John Powell, John Williams and the early years of Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman.
