Review
by Thomas Glorieux: Only briefly do we hear those dark moments like 'Stalking Crisp' and 'The Tower / Everything is OK', but these listen very good if you compare it with 'Fire at the School' which is actually the only track that has really harsh moments. It's a shame that this track is the longest of them all and that it is found at the end because it somewhat influences your judgment, this happened only once because the second time I simply ignored the fact of being there. You can describe Kindergarten Cop easily as a lovely children's score with soft themes and briefly an act of tension or suspension. But with the various moments of melodic theme it is a nice soundtrack for those who saw the movie. The score listens very nicely and ends like it started, with an overall nice feeling. Children scores have to do this and it shows that Edelman can also accomplish this when he wants to, like he did before with Beethoven. It is worth approaching if piano underscored soundtracks can humor you and if you know something of Edelman's tension way of scoring. Then Kindergarten Cop will likely amuse you. \µµµ/
