"Sorry, Carter." Jack looked at her apologetically. "It's for real."
Sam stared at him incredulously. "Sir," She protested. "I can't believe that you're not fighting this! Don't you hate this more than me?"
"Anise, Freya, whoever she is, is coming here for a month, and you think I'm okay with that?" Jack grinned at her with amusement. "I fought the General tooth and nail about it, but then I found out I'd get to tell you and Danny-boy about it."
Sam glared at him, and he straightened up.
"But seriously, we could have fun with this."
"*Fun with this?*" She repeated slowly, considering a trip to the infirmary. Obviously the shock had done something to his mind, and her commanding officer was now insane. It wouldn't hurt for her to get a couple of aspirin either.
Jack continued. "She's at our mercy for a *month*. She's going to go on missions with us, eat with us, do everything with us."
Sam buried her face in her hands. "And this is a *good* thing?"
An evil grin wrapped itself around the Colonel's face. "How does she know if we do things different than normal?" His smile grew as he saw the idea dawn on his 2IC.
"Oh." An equally evil smile had found itself on her features, and she grinned.
"Let's go tell Daniel."

After going through the same argument, and subsequent realisation, with Daniel, the three human members of SG-1 found themselves in the gateroom, eagerally awaiting the Tok'ra's arrival. The base leader, General Hammond, looked at them strangely, wondering at the, dare he say, happiness they seemed to be feeling about the coming of Anise. He hated the idea himself, but the Tok'ra had insisted. Anise wanted to explore human culture, and the Council had pulled their usual 'In the interest of the Tok'ra/Tau'ri alliance' speech, leaving the President little choice but to authorize her stay. But then, the President had never been on the recieving end of her 'experiments'. SG-1 had, which brought the General back to his original question. Whatever it was they had planned, it wasn't good, and he knew they had something planned. He didn't make General by being unsure about things like that. Seeing the almost fiendish smiles on their faces, he almost wished that he could be apart of their plotting. After all her 'tests', he supposed that it wouldn't do any harm for her to be on the receiving end of an SG-1 practical joke. Not that their jokes were ever practical. "Receiving Tok'ra IDC, Sir." The technician spoke to him. "Open the iris." He commanded. If possible, SG-1's smiles had grown. This was going to be a fun month.
