Summary: Jack's week of hell began with flu and an O'Neill T-shirt
Author's notes: I have flu so I gave it to Jack; I figured it was fair trade. I was still up at 3.30am this morning and this came to me while I was trying to get to sleep some time after that…I refuse to be held responsible, in my delirious state, for anything that may stem from this…or for anything at all really.
Thankies Stephy and Tricksy for sorting out what was in a mess!

That wasn't entirely true actually.

It had started with an exotic alien virus, more commonly known as the flu and had led on to a T-shirt.

No one could hold Jack responsible for catching the flu, it's just one of those things…of course, he was entirely responsible for the excessive fuss he'd made about it and the resulting order that he go home and not come back until he was feeling better.

Everyone knows what flu does to you and therefore he should not be held responsible for deciding - while he lay in bed, in a rather delirious state - that he needed Sam's most recent mission report there and then.

He also could not be held responsible for the fact that it just happened to be 3am when that decision was made.

It wasn't his fault that in his rather delirious state he found himself standing outside Sam's front door and by the time he'd realised what a bad idea it was he felt too shaky to attempt driving home.

It wasn't his fault that Sam had given him a front door key and that in his rather delirious state he used it without hesitation.

And any sane man would decide to spend the next few hours before Sam woke, asleep in the spare room and not on the couch.

He could hardly be held responsible for the fact that in his rather delirious state he went in the first door on the right instead of the second.

No one could blame him, in his rather delirious state, for not noticing and for pulling back the covers to reveal Sam's sleeping form.

It was hardly surprising that, simply being a man, he stood and stared at her even after his mistake registered in his rather delirious mind.

No one could blame him for the fact that the full moon shining in the window made her hair and skin shine.

And nothing that Jack's rather delirious mind thought, was responsible for her rolling onto her back in her sleep.

He couldn't help but notice, even in his rather delirious state, that she was wearing a light grey tank top with 'O'Neill' written in blazing orange right across her breasts.

He couldn't really stop himself, in his rather delirious state, from staring for a while before his eyes took in the rest of her form.

And it certainly wasn't his fault that she was only wearing black panties on her bottom half and that, despite his rather delirious state, he had sense enough to focus on the tank top and cover the rest of her.

He couldn't be blamed for the sneeze that then decided to strike and for the fact that it woke Sam.

Some might claim, even taking his rather delirious state into account, that he was blame for Sam's reaction and subsequent actions.

Hence began the week from hell and even after recovering his normal 'non-delirious' state of mind he was left to deal with the consequences.

It wasn't Jack's fault that he'd decided to fight back when Sam began her campaign of terror…or was it?
