Peter DeLuise is mainly a director on Stargate SG-1, but besides that he also wrote a couple of episodes. Acting is also one of his talents. Basically, he does anything related to making a show/movie if they let him.
And it looks like these talents run in the family, because he has given his dad and brothers an acting role in some episodes of Stargate SG-1. I think he must have been jealous, because they got to be in the spotlights, while he himself had to stay behind the camera...
Anyway, when you watch closely, you'll see him pop up as a background character every now and again.
You've probably also noticed how one actor/actress plays different minor characters on the show. Some of them play quite a lot of different characters, but I bet that Peter beats them all. I don't know the exact number, but he plays a lot of different - mostly nameless - characters. Here's a list of the ones I found so far ;)
