Please allow me to introduce myself :

I am a rolling stones collector for more than 20 years.

My collection contains a lot of autographs, special albums and cd's and a various of memorablia.

The stones started in 1961 and i was born in 1961 (are they waiting for me? :) so whole my life is filled up with the rebel music of the world greatest rock and roll band.

A part of the items on this site is from my personal collection.I put some other pictures of items that i found on the net for showing you good examples of rolling stones memorablia.

Here are some tips for record collectors :

Where can you find the records ? You can search in the advertisments for someone who sells his records. Ask your friends or family, maybe they have some records that they don't play anymore. Go to the flea market when you have a good day you can find something for a cheap price. Many countries have there record fairs . If you go there you have to know how much money you can spend and the value of the records you're looking for. Most of the exhibitors must pay a lot for their place and calculate a surplus on the price for their goods but when you buy more than one record mostly you may place a bid.
When you come home with your new acquisitions, you have to grade them. This means that you must be critical on the condition of your records.

To know what the value of your record is you can use a record collectors priceguide. There are many such priceguides mostly for American pressings.
You also have to clean your records. Sometimes records are kept in a dusty place for years. Before you play such records you better clean them. In a shop or on the internet you'll find different vinyl cleaning products. You may also clean the records with some handsoap and a sponge, becarefull with the label. There are some tricks to remove tape or writing but as far as I know none of these ways can restore the original condition of the record. Sometimes they bring more damage to the record, sleeve or label. I recommend to keep the record as you bought it and don't experiment too much.
I keep each cleaned record in a special white insert sleeve to prevent that the sleeve receives more ring wear and the record is prevented from dust. The record sleeve, the white inner sleeve with the record goes in a plastic larger sleeve. All these ways of preservation are for sale on the internet or record fairs and stores.
If you have more questions about collecting records or you want to know the value of your record, don't hesitate to contact me

The perennial question : how long will the Stones keep going?

Richards: (laughs) Do you think we know? Everyone always says this is the last, or that's the last. Nobody has taken it this far down the line. We have got to go out there and find out if it can be done. Why can't you have grown-up rock 'n' roll as well as the influx from the young end? It would be a terrible waste for us to get this far down the line and not carry on.
