I named my pet after Goete's "Faust",
which tells the tale of Dr.Faust who
sold his soul to the devil Mephisto.

A few words from Faust : "My favorite past time is thrashing computer mice and floppy-disks."
"Also, removing wallpaper is great fun, or hiding the keys from his keyboard."
"It's quite hilarious watching him on his knees looking for them."
"Or freaking-out people visiting my human , man, it's a trip !" "KRRRAAaaaah !!!!"

May 30th 2003 Well, that was that.
Dende's gone, back to nature and freedom on his own decision.
House is empty again. Damn that's hard. :-(
Goodbye little guy.

I added the Sindarin script for crow. Sindarin is a language and script(Tengwar) created by J.R.R. Tolkien. You know...writer of "the Lord of the Rings".
It says "craban": kind of crow of large size, raven.
Another word for crow is "Corch"
In the older Elven language, Quenya, it's: quáco "crow" (also corco)

Today Faust left me.
He was gone when I returned from the supermarket. He didn't even touch the frozen meat I left for him.
The back door was always open. He used to look into the garden but never went outside. I called for him but no reaction at all. I thought he hid himself or got stuck behind the fridge, but no, he was gone.
I spent most of the day in the garden waiting for him te return. He didn't. As it became later in the day it started to weigh on me. I will most likely never see him again.
I've always wanted him to return to nature but I wanted to do this more controlled, letting him get used to the environment at a slower pace, let him get used to looking for food and all other things. I'm afraid that he won't find enough food or water. He never slept outside before. He was even picky as for what food he'd eat.
After being together for a little over seven years. It's hard to think what my life was like before his mischief entered my home, Anyway, Faust, I hope you find your way back, if not, have a good life ....
Sunday night 20th August 2001
I dreamt of an orchard full of yellow blossomed trees. And from a distance, in one of the trees, in the morning sun I saw a crow perching on a branch. He looked around a bit and then placed his bill between his wings on his back and slept.
