------------------------------ Dear competitor, In a few weeks, we can all take off to Gruissan for our annual speed event in Gruissan. We are very proud to announce that we have F2 as our major sponsor this year! That's why we changed the name in: F2 Belgian speedweek Gruissan 2010 At first, we would like to thank everyone for joining us at our speedweek. Attached we send you the Notice of Race and also a registration form in Dutch, French and English. Please fill in this form and mail it back to us . You can jump from one field to another using the tab key. You don't need to fill in the date and signature . Don't forget to mention whether you have a gps or not, so we know how many pieces we need to take with us. We will bring all registration forms to Gruissan, so you don't have to worry about that anymore. This will make things much easier at the inscription, because at that moment you only have to put your signature. We also ask you to bring € 50,- with you at the registration for the lycra. Of course you'll get this money back when you return us the lycra when competition is over. Registration starts on Sunday the 4th of April from 16.00 h until 18.00 h (as usual at PLAGE NORD DE MATEILLE see map attached) We close registration at 18.00 h sharp. After 18.00 h no pre-inscriptions will be accepted and from that time it's only possible to make a day-inscription (35€/day) Be aware that after 18.00 h your pre-inscription will no longer be valid ! Easter seems to be far away, but it will be there sooner than you think. First we will have to survive the christmas period and then it's a countdown until Gruissan 2010. From now on, registrations are open to the Belgian competitors and as from 01/01/2010 on registrations will be open to all foreigners. Don't forget: your registration is only valid if we received your paiment ! Same as last year, this event will be linked to Easter Monday. This means that it will be the week of 05/04/2010 until 09/04/2010 (the first week of the Easter holidays). As I've been told, there is a large potential of candidates, so I advise you to register as soon as possible. Anders Bringdal as well as the new European Speed Champions Andrea Baldini and Zara Davis already told us they will be joining us. We also got a lot of interest out of Italy, Spain, Sweden, Germany, France, Greece, Austria and of course also some of our Dutch friends will certainly take part. We still give you the possibility to register on the spot itself, but this is only possible if there is still place. The design of the speedweek stays the same: it has to be a competition that is accessible to everybody, from the average Joe to a pro surfer. Everybody should have his shot at taking a run ! In 2010 the Belgian Speedweek will be valid to the closed Belgian Championship as well as the ISWC. In 2010 there will be some changes. We will only work with GPS (GT11 or GT31). For those of you who don't have a GPS , we will have some available. We ask everyone to mention at your inscription mail whether you have a gps (GT11 or GT31 only !) or not. Also we will sail in a full fleet this year, which gives us the opportunity to wait for the best moment of the day to start. The runway will be adapted therefore so the participants field can be stretched out. Since the first edition, which is now 14 years ago, Mulquet Surf & Ski provides accommodation to our crew. Thanks to them we can keep our entrance fee very budget friendly. Therefore we would appreciate it if the people who wish to reserve a bungalow, would book at Mulquet Surf & Ski.
