" Tonight’s a bloody red moon. The creatures of the dark are restless," whispered the man only known as Julian. Not much is known about his past, nothing but bits of reality that haunt him, like tides, moving to and fro, from the sands of existence. Like a graceful swan, his sword sliced through a vampire’s fragile neck, as if it was nothing more than a falling leaf. "I better find some shelter this time of the night," Julian thought. "The bloodhunt would not stop till I find a shelter to hide myself from these creatures… these vampires."
He went inside the village of Enoch, a small village near the forest of Eden, in the continent of Nod. Sensing the fear amongst the people, he hid his retractable claws – whilst he washed his bloodied Muramasa on a nearby well. He whispered to himself, "The people here do not seem to possess hospitality towards strangers.
"‘Tis a good thing that I leave by ‘morrows dawn."
"Damn, I am hungry," thought Julian to himself. A wanderer that he is, he continued to explore the village till he found a small fruit stand, closing.
"How much for the remaining Malus?" asked Julian. He threw the man seven bronze pieces, a bronze piece more than what the vendor said. "Keep the change," Julian told the man, as he turned around and walked towards the ruddy-colored moon.
"The hell?" thought Julian, as a young woman zoomed past him, stealing his only means of dinner. The thief was beautiful and young, and her hair resembling that of Julian’s – long, flowing, as if it was alive. She ran like the mythical Atalanta, who’s speed rivals that of a young stallion, yet as graceful as a swan, flying gracefully as if the air was it’s own. She was Ayame Makoto, a wanderer like Julian.
"Alright, finally got some food," uttered Ayame as she runs away from Julian. "What?? He’s just as fast as me. And he’s catching up!!" thought Ayame to herself. "Must create distance… freezing wind, let thy blaze flow upon the coldness of the night!!" Immediately, shards of ice covered the streets of Enoch, blocking Julian’s sight. She fled into the tall blades of grass that surrounds an Narra tree – far east from the town plaza.
" Hehehe, got some food all to myself," thought Ayame.
"Where are you going with my dinner miss," said the man that stood behind the rusted full moon – Julian. He was floating in the cold, callous air, as if he was one with the night… one with the darkness. He extended his hand, whilst he coldly uttered, "I do not intend to get things bloody. Hand over my dinner."
"Over my dead –," said Ayame, when she was interrupted by the sudden gush of wind. The moment the wind stopped it’s cold breath, the fruit she was holding was gone. "How were you able to??" asked a visibly flustered Ayame.
Holding the Malus fruit in his hand, he flung the fruit high into the air, into the light of the ruddy full moon, and sliced it into perfect halves as if it were blade through butter. He extended his hand, gave the other half to Ayame, smiled and said, "Take this. I can see you’re quite hungry."
He did not know why those things had just transpired. For the first time in his life, he was able to smile at someone – as if Ayame had some link with him. There was no apparent reason, but he felt a connection with the woman standing in front of him, vigorously eating the other half of the Malus fruit. He sat down beside the woman, and told her, "What brings you to the Land of Nod? Do you not know that this land breeds all sorts of peril that one could only dream about? From the looks of things, you don’t even look like someone from Nod."
"Well, I came from the village of Lifa – from the continent of the Myst," answered Ayame. "I am looking for my brother, as he seems to be the only one who might be able to tell me of my existence. Weird as it may sound, I don’t really know who I am – all I have is this picture of my brother and I."
Julian’s mind raced as she went to tell her story; like Julian, she has no idea as to who she was – only a vague piece of reality called "a memory". He replied, "I do not find it weird at all; there are lots of weird things happening around that I myself could not explain. Hey listen, if its okay with you, I would accompany you in your journey – perhaps till you find your brother." He smiled, and continued, "That way you don’t go stealing my dinner anymore…"
"Heh," remarked a smiling Ayame. "I didn’t intend to really steal your dinner… it’s just that I was really hungry. Thanks by the way for sharing me your dinner."
"That’s ok," answered Julian. "Come on, it’s getting a bit cold – we better go to the inn, lest we freeze in this weather."

"State thy purpose," sir Drannon firmly said. "Who sent you? Why hast thou entered at such an ungodly hour?" Sir Drannon pointed his sword on the man’s chin. Shiela Hedaly then, went towards Sir Drannon and stood behind him. Julian leaned towards a wall in a dark corner of the room, and lit his cigarette. Julian softly said, "Give him a break. He’s wounded."
"I appreciate that you have aided us with this," said Sir Drannon. "But this is not of your concern." He then diverted his attention towards the captive, and said, "In the name of the Knights of Gatt, what brings thee to Café Eblana?" The man did not answer; but he looked straight into the eyes of Sir Drannon, and spit him in the face.
The knight nearly lost his temper and would’ve slashed the captive’s throat, had it not been for Sheila. She placed her hand on sir Drannon’s blade, as she motioned for Sir Drannon to calm down.
Cigarette in his right hand, Julian said to the two knights, "This is going nowhere. I’m stepping outside to finish my cigarette." Julian then went towards the stairs and proceeded to go outside.

Ayamé came walking down the stairs. Her head was still big from those bloody Maries she had drunk. "Mmmh...What's going on? What's all the fuss about?"
"This wounded man was taking on the bartender, robbing him, probably..."
"Oh, I see..."
Sir Drannon looked suspiciously at Ayamé. "Don't I know you from somewhere?"
"I don't think so.", she replied. She sat down next to Sheila and stared at the man. Julian had finished his sigaret and came in.
"So you got him? Did he talk?"
"Not a word", said Sheila, "But we'll get it out of him, as soon as he recovers."
"Let me take care of his wounds", suggested Ayamé. She took some bandages and went towards the man. She wanted to take care of his arm, but he...growled at her! "What the..." he stood up and hit Ayamé in her face. Sir Drannon pulled his sword and held it under the man's throat. "Don't even think about it! Sit down and talk", he said remarkably calm. I guess that's why he's such a good knight...
Sheila checked if Ayamé was Ok. "Just a scratch", Ayamé said, "I'll live...but he won't!" Sheila took her hand and calmed her down. She seemed to be good at calming people down these days. Ayamé was pissed at the guy at sat down in the corner of the room, looking very mad...

"You just don’t know what you’ve done," replied the injured man. "We’re all going to die. The smell of blood, the full moon rising… do you not know what these people are???"
"Thou spoke with thy tongue curled," said Sir Drannon. "You lie. What foul curses thy mouth brings."
Then, a cold draft entered the sealed basement. A lifeless body rose – it was the bartender. His body was as cold as ice, yet there was fire in his eyes, bloodshot red as they call it. He flew into the air, and stated, "Welcome to Enoch: The Village of the Damned."
The captive immediately ran out of the inn, and all was silent. Then, you could hear the screams of the escaped captive, as if he was being devour alive – as if his essence was sucked dry. "The moon has chosen the lambs – you!!" pointed the damned bartender towards Julian, Ayamé, Sir Drannon and Sheila.
"Proceed to the door," shouted Julian as he busted the door open. They saw a dead man at the town plaza - front of the inn. Ayame shouted, "It's the guy from the inn!!"
Then, the villagers all went out - and showed their true form. "Vampires. Great, we got some more trouble," said Julian.
"Let's split up," said Sir Drannon. "That will scatter the villagers, and hopefully buy us some time. We'll rendezvous south of Enoch, town of Brook."
"Sounds fine," said Julian. Julian then got Ayame's arm, and ran towards the deep forest. Sheila and Sir Drannon, on the other hand, ran east of the village proper.

Julian and Ayame sat in the forest catching their breath. The air was warm and eerily quiet. Julian motioned for ayame to be silent then listened intently. After a while he let out a sigh of relief.
"we are fortunate." he informed the silver-haired woman "They're not persuing us."
"What happened to them?" she asked trying to conceal the fear in her voice "They were different almost....evil"
"They were." Julian replied bluntly
"But...."
Julian stoped Ayame in mid sentence.
"Please." he uttered. "Let us not speak of it now. This is not the time to speak of such grotesque things."
After that they sat in silence. Ayame looked around until her eyes fell upon the most beutiful flower she had ever seen. "Wow" she gasped as she examined the complex pink and orange swirls on the surface of its petals "Isn't it pretty?"
Julian looked at the flower with little interest. "I guess" he finally uttered.
Ayame reached a hand out towards the flowers trembling petals wanting to feel its delicate surface. However, before her hand could come into contact with the pink and orange surface, a soft, musical voice eminated from the branches above.
"I wouldn't touch that if I was you." it warned.
Ayame and Julian turned to where the voice appeared to come from.
"Who's there?" Julian demanded getting his weapon ready.
The heard a giggle flow down from above and looked up to see a young woman obscured mostly by a dark green, weather stained cloak sitting comfortably in the branches of a nearby tree. A bow and quiver were slung across her back. Effortlessly, she jumped down from the high branch and landed lightly on the ground in front of them. Her feet made no sound as they hit the floor. The young woman straighted herself up and looked at the two companions critically.
"You have no need for that" she sighed motioning to Julian's weapon. "If I wanted to harm you then I would have kept my mouth shut."
Julian hesitated then lowered his weapon slowly. The young woman then turned to Ayame.
"Lucky for you I was here." she told the confused looking Ayame as she walked towards them.
"Don't come any closer" Julian warned.
The young woman ignored Julian then proceeded to walk past them. Her goal turned out to be the purple and orange flower that Ayame was admiring. She looked down on the flower and grined.
"Pretty isn't it?" she beemed at them. The two nodded confused as to what the young woman was getting at. Her face then grew stern. "But that's what makes it so dangerous." she said in an ominous tone. The young woman kneeled down and picked up a rather thick branch and placed it on the surface of the flower. To Julian and Ayame's surprise, the branch melted at the touch of the patterned petals. Ayame winced at the sight.
"Thankyou" she gasped at last "I had no idea."
"No problem." the young woman in the cloak replied with a smile.
Julian looked the young woman in the face. By the look of it she could have been no older than her late teens "I'm grateful for what you did." he began. "But please, wont you tell us who you are?"
"Certainly." she replied with her soft voice. "Naliya." the young woman then proceded to bow gracefully "Naliya Serani expert Ranger at your service. And you are?"
"I am Julian and this here is Ayame."
"Ayame" the young woman known as Naliya repeated "That's a nice name."
"Thankyou" Ayame blushed. "Your name seems rather unusual. No affence intended" she quickly added
Naliya smiled. "None taken" With that she lowered ther hood of her cloak that had hidden most of her features from them. The two looked in amazement. The young womans hair was long and bright gold in colour. It was tucked neatly behind two pale ears that nipped into delicate points at the top. Her eyes were an unnaturally bright green and her skin was pale, almost white.
"You're an elf." Julian surmised.
"Well observed" Naliya grinned.
"An elf?" Ayame gasped "But I thought that they were extinct."
"Not quite." Naliya sighed "but I fear that that time draws ever closer." her face was sorrowful. "So" Naliya continued trying desperately to change the subject. "What brings you two silver haired people into these woods? Humans don't come here if they can help it"
Julian realised what she was trying to do and answered her question. "We couldn't help it. The whole town has been turned into vampires."
Naliya's face was grave as she listened to their story of how they came to discover the vampires.
"There were others with us" Ayame added "but as we fled we decided that the best thing to do was split up and we ran in here to take cover."
"And you're on your way to meet them now" Naliya finished the sentence for her.
"Yes."
Naliya thought for a moment. "I'm comming with you" she decided.
Julian looked surprised "What?" he asked trying not to sound too shocked.
"You'll never find your way out of here without my help." she explained. "These woods are enchanted and unless you know what you're doing you could get lost forever."
Ayame looked pleased "You'd do that for us?" she asked "But why?"
"I'm a Ranger." Naliya shrugged. "It's my duty to help those in trouble."
"We are grateful." Julian bowed
"No problem." Naliya assured him. "Follow me. I'll get you something to eat before we set out to meet your friends."
Julian and Ayame followed the elfin woman deeper into the forest. Secretly Ayame was happy to have more company. The thought that vampires could be following them made her feel chill to the bone.

Sheila and Sir Drannon crept through the abandoned alley causitiously. Sir Drannon had his buckler on his arm, and his sword out, and Sheila had her longsword at the ready. As they reached the end of the alley, Sir Drannon's keen senses picked something up. Around the corner were two vampires. To the back of Sir Drannon and Sheila, two other vampires resided. Sheila was afraid they wouldn't make it out, but Sir Drannon was confident.
"He are not yet lost, not yet," he said. He peeked around the corner. "I didn't say I was travelling alone." A dark clad figure leaped from the roof onto the two vampires. His steel broadsword flashed in the moonlight.
"Zed!" whispered Sheila. The dark clad figure, known as Zed Dark, washed his sword on the bodies. His long black hair flapped in the wind. He sheathed his sword, and motioned for Sir Drannon and Sheila to follow. Zed Dark was a famous knight indeed. After locating the scroll of Ambrosia, the ingredients listed to make the ultimate invincibility potion, he had become world reknowned. But after a final battle with his enemy, the infamous lord captain of the Blashemia guards, he had lost the scroll. So he became a knight.
Sir Drannon, Sheila and Zed proceeded into the forest.

Naliya had led the two companions along through the forest for quite some time. Ayame could not believe how extensive the forest actually was. Eventually, Ayame and Julian, along with their new guide were sitting on a small platform suspended in the trees eating a meal of roots and berries. Naliya had informed them that she had built this platform herself and uses it as a place to stay when she's in this area. Ayame asked the young elf woman why she didn't just go and stay in the Inn. Naliya grinned.
"I'd rather not" she replied truthfully "That town you came from does not take kindly to Rangers and even more so to elves."
"Why not?" asked Ayame feeling a little sorry for their guide
"Drows." she replied bluntly. "Common folk tend not to be able to tell the differnce between us." Naylia scoffed "And to think, the differences between us elves are as obvious as the grubby noses on their arrogant faces."
"Maybe you can tell the different types of elves because you are one yourself" Julian suggested.
Naylia sighed. "Maybe" she agreed. She looked down at the food they were eating. "I'm sorry that it isnt very glamorous but I wasn't expecting company so I didn't have time to go hunting."
"It's alright." Julian assured her "It was nice of you to bother at all."
Ayame was about to say something when she was interupted by a loud snapping sound followed by shouts of surprise. Naliya sprng to her feet.
"What is it?" Julian asked quickly
"One of my traps have been set off." Naylia explained "It's one of the ones used for catching Forest Trolls."
"You catch Trolls?" Ayame asked "The trap must be huge."
"Not neccesarilly." Naliya replied "These are Forest Trolls. They are smaller; about the size of a man, but they are just as visious."
"Why do you trap them then?"
"You'll be surprised how much some people are willing to pay for their hide" Naliya replied. "Plus it helps to keep the population down. Now hurry up and arm yourselves and let's go."
Julian and Ayame hurried to thier feet. Julian put on his claws and Ayame tightened her grip on her mage staff. Within seconds they had climbed down out of the tree and were running after Naliya heading to the place where the sound came from. Julian and Ayame skidded to a halt as the stopped figure of Naliya appeared in front of them as they dived out of some undergrowth. Naliya was peering through a gap in a bush and appeared to be giggling.
"What is it?" Julian asked the gleeful Naliya.
"Take a look for yourself" she replied moving back so that Ayame and Julian could see.
A thick cord hung down from an old Oak Tree. The cord was taunt and suspended from it was a tatty but strong make shift net. In the net there was three annoied looking people. "Sheila?" Ayame asked trying to hide a smile. "Is that you?"
The ex-knight looked out from inside the net. "Ayame, Julian thank goodness we found you."
Julian turned to Naliya "These are the friends we were telling you about" he informed. "You can cut them down."
Naliya nodded then drew a dagger and cut the three knights loose. The knights stood up rubbing the dirt off of their persons.
"What happened to you?" Ayame asked Sheila and Drannon. She then looked at the knight she did not recognise "And who's he?"

"Sir Zed Dark," replied the dark haired warrior. He bowed, and kissed the young Ayame on her fragile hands. Ayame merely giggled.
Sheila Hedaly then turned towards Julian, and said, "Where to?"
"Hey, I’m making this up as we go," Julian said. A large crow then flew and perched on Julian’s arms, as if it was the creature was conversing with the man. "There’s a town up ahead. The town of Brook."
Then, the warriors headed north of the Evermar forest, towards the town of Brook.

The sun started to rise when they got to Brook. Sir Drannon and Zed stopped.
"I would bid thee goodbye," Sir Drannon said. Sheila shook his hand.
"Goodbye, Sir Drannon. Goodbye, Zed," she said. Sir Drannon and Zed left. The group wandered into the town. The town was old, a former city that harbored the legendary vehicles known as trains. Sadly, the trains had been locked up, due to bad business, and Brook turned into a small village. Sheila used to study trains, and had yearned to ride one.
The group stopped at a local inn, The Beer Pit. Sheila sat down at a nearby table, and started to sharpen her longsword with a whetstone, while everyone else sat at other tables.

Naliya sat at a table with Julian and Ayame and watched them talking about what they were going to do next. She had her hood up to conceal her pointed ears. She hadn't been to this town in a while and peoples opinions changed over time. She wasn't going to take any chances.
"Well." Naliya said at last. "I guess you wont be needing me any more now you're out of the forest."
Ayame looked across at Naliya. "But what will you do once we've gone?"
Naliya shrugged. "Go back to the Forest and wait around till some travellor needs my assitance."
"But what about the vampires?" Ayame asked. She didn't know why but she had grown to like Naliya in the short time they had known each other and felt concerned that she was going to put herself back into the reach of those creatures.
"I'll be fine." Naliya assured the girl opposite her. "I'll be safe in the woods what with the trees to cover me and all. I'll just elude them a little while then go somewhere else."
Julian's face was grave. He knew that just the cover of the trees would not be able to protect the young looking elf from those monstrosities. If Naliya went back she would suffer a fate worse than death.
"Why don't you come with us?" he sugested. "It takes a lot more than trees to safe you from a vampire."
Naliya looked at Julian grinning. "I know a lot more about vampires than you would think." she replied "But since I like you two, and even that knight over there although I haven't known her as long" Naliya, deciding that it was safe, lowered her hood. "I'll be your guide once more."
"Then it's settled" Ayame grinned and turned to Julian. "So what's our next move?"
Julian thought for a bit. However his thought was soon interupted by the voice of a man who had just walked in through the door. He was staring straight at Naliya.
"You?!" the voice was that of frustration and surprise "What are you doing here?"
The man had shoulder length hair which was slightly grey. He was holding a long bow in his hand and had a Katana straped to his back.
"Well." Naliya mused. "If it isn't my old friend Colin."
"You know him?" Ayame asked.
"Yes I do." Naliya replied "He's another tracker who's jelous of my superior skills."
The man continued to stare at the elf. "You wish. Tell me. How many people have you helped while you were in that forest?" he mocked. "10? 20? No?" he looked at Julian and Ayame "Or how about 2?"
Naylia didn't reply.
"Ha. Thought so. Let's face it. You're always going to be second to me."
Naylia stood up and stared at the man.
"An old rival?" Julian whispered to the elf as she rose.
She looked at the man stood in the doorway "Pretty much." she replied. She then raised her voice. She wanted the man to hear what she was saying "But to be frank with you. I thought that he would have retired by now, being so old and all."
The man Naliya identified as Colin scoffed.
"You've got room to talk." he replied. "You're much older than me. Now why don't you just pack up your things and leave? Brook is my town and there's not enough room for two trackers."
"Make me!" Naliya's voice had an edge of frustration to it.
Colin grinned. "I hoped you would say that."
With that, his hand reached for the Katana strapped to his back.

"You bastard!", Naliya swung at Colin, but he sidestepped sending her forward a few feet...she turned back around and went for another punch, however ayame jumped up and grabbed her forarm.
"Stop this you two! What is going on?!"
Colin replied, "Hey, she came at me first."
Naliya said, "You're always trying to get into my business, why don't you just leave me alone!"
"Hey, I live here too, I can come and go as I please."
Naliya broke from her grip from ayame and walked over to the bar and sat down. Colin just stared at her and shook his head...

Colin turned to Ayame and Julian. "You know what? I pity her sometimes." Ayame ignored Colin and walked over to see if Naliya was alright. Colin shrugged and continued talking to Julian. "She's a nice girl and all but she doesn't take to lightly to competition."
"You mean you don't really hate her?" Julian asked puzzled.
Colin grinned. "Of course not. That little sharad was just for show. Entertainment for these dull witted towns folk." he sighed "Unfortunately Naliya tends to take it a little too far at times. Like I said. She doesn't take too well to competition."
Julian nodded. It was none of his business so he decided not to ask anymore questions
"So, where you headed...um.."
"Julian." Julian promted. He then pointed to the other two "The woman who broke you to up is Ayame Makoto and the one walking towards us now is Sheila Hedaly"
"What was that all about?" Sheila asked Julian not taking her eyes off of Colin.
"Just a little rivalry." Colin replied. "The tracking business is pretty competitive this time of year."
Just then a small group of armoured men armed with long swords burst into the Inn. The leader pointed out Colin and Naliya.
"Arrest them!" he ordered his men crisply.

Colin stepped in front of Naliya, "What is this about?", raising his voice to cause more attention.
"You are under arrest! We will talk later!"
Colin referenced to Naliya, "Leave her out of it, I'm the one you want!"
Naliya was offended, "Why do you have to do that?! I don't need your help! I'm perfectly capable of handling myself!"
Colin whispered, "why do you have to be difficult? I'm actually trying to help you."
The guards spoke up, "Alright, let's go!"
The guards approached Colin and Naliya...

Ayame looked frantically at Julian "We've got to do something." she whispered.
However Julian was way ahead of her. He had already attached his claw. Slowly, he counted the men.
"Perfect!" he exclaimed. "There's 6 of them. That's almost one each"
Meanwhile Naliya and Colin stood side by side in front of the approaching men. The Inn occupants had all run off including the innkeeper, they had the whole place to fight.
"Now listen old man." Naliya whispered to Colin "No heroics. I can cope myself." she then added "Besides, I don't want you to do your back in old man"
Colin roled his eyes.
"Hey!" the now armed Ayame shouted at the men. "You'll have to take on us aswell!"
The leader sneered "Your funeral." he hissed. He motioned to three of the men. "Kill them!" he ordered.
The three men charged at Ayame, Julian and Sheila, their swords raised.
"He's pretty cute" Ayame thought to herself as she parried the blow of one of the men with her surprisingly sturdy staff."Shame I have to kill him."
Ayame landed a blow to the stomach of the man and he staggered back cluching his stomach. While he was distracted, Ayame raised her hand.
"I call upon the elemental powers of the West to encase my enemy in ice." she called. "Blizzara!"
Instantly the staggering man was entombed within a shaft of ice. Ayame smirked and walked over to the frozen man. Then with one hand she gentlely nudged the block of ice. As it hit the ground it shattered along with the man inside.
Julian and the man who had charged him were at a stand off. His claws and the mans sword were locked together. It was now a case of who was the strongest. Julian put all of his remaining strength behind his clawed hand. With a little effort, he then moved his over hand and clasped the handle of his Muramasa.
"Tell me." he said to the man on the overside of the intertwinning blades. "Why do you want to arrest these people?"
The man sneered "And why should I?" he spat.
Julian winced at the smell of the mans breath.
"Because." Julian replied trying hard not to gag. "If you do, I'll spare you your life."
"Never!" the man hissed.
"Your choice." Julian then drew the Muramasa from its sheath and plunged it deep into the mans side. The man groaned then fell onto the floor gasping.
"Thou hast some skill." Sheila informed the man who had charged her. Sparks flew as the blades of their two long swords clashed together. "Unfortunately that is not enough!" Sheila dodged a blow effortlessly. "It takes more than skill" she continued as the man ducked one of her swipes.
The man clentched his teeth and charged at her yelling, his sword out stretched. Sheila narrowly avoided the attack then spun around him driving her sword into his exposed back.
"How?" the man uttered as he fell to the floor.
Sheila stood over the dying man and bowed her head in respect. She then wiped the blood off of her sword on a rag she kept in her pouch and turned to Julian and Ayame who had just killed their enemies.
"Where are the elf and the tracker." she asked.
Julian pointed to the otherside of the room. Naliya and Colin stood back to back eachone facing a man.
"We better make this quick" Colin informed Naliya. With that he griped his Katana and charged at the man. The man went to drive his blade into Colin but was surprised to see that he had struck thin air. He looked around for the tracker cursing.
Meanwhile Naylia was busy dodging incomming blows. She jumped nimblely up onto the bar and looked down on the man grinning.
"Missed." she mocked.
The man dived at her but fell back reeling in pain as she kicked him hard in the face. Quickly Naylia began to weave her delicate fingers through the air chanting an incantation.
"I call on the elemental powers of the mystic North to aid me in my fight" she began. "Trap my enemy in the deepest depths of the earth" Naliya grinned at the man as she released the incantation. "Quake!"
The floor beneath the confused man rose up and began to shake violently. Without warning, a crack in the floor opened up beneath the man. He fell screaming as the crack sealed once again.
"Naliya!" a Colin bellowed "Look out!"
Naliya turned to see the last of the men running at her. However Colin could run faster. He caught up with the man before he could land a blow on the unsuspecting Naliya and ended his sorry life.
Julian, Ayame and Sheila ran over to the two trackers.
"Are you alright?" Ayame asked.
"We're fine." Naliya replied.
"It's not over yet!" the leader bellowed angrily at the 5 warriors. "You still have me to deal with!"

The man stood in great gold armor with a black cape flowing from his neck. He wore a helmet with the face plate raised. His huge broadsword was unsheathed and gripped by two massive gauntlets.
Ayame, Julian, Sheila, Naliya, and Colin stood in a row. Ayame said, "What's the plan?"
Sheila replied, "There are too many of us in a confined place to use much magic."
"I agree, that is why I have a plan," said Colin. Colin raised two fingers to his mouth and whistled followed by a call, "Ghost!"
The great knight stood confused for a moment and didn't notice the 250 pound wolf run through the door and leap high into the air onto the knight's back. The force of the blow almost knocked the man off his feet. He swung the wolf around and threw him off.
"Now's our chance, attack!!"
Sheila and Julian advanced forward. Julian slashed with his claw, sending sparks across the knights armor. The knight responded by swinging his sword at Julian, who ducked. Sheila swung her sword and it landed with great force upon the knight's back, again the armor taking the brunt of the blow. The knight spun with an elbow, hitting Sheila in the shoulder knocking her to the floor.
"We need to even the odds," said Colin. Colin carefully examined the knights armor and found very little weak points. He noticed a small spacing between the arms and the chest plate. Colin reached behind him and grabbed an arrow. He locked it and aimed. As the knight, Julian and Ayame were struggling, colin had to be careful not to hit julian or Ayame. He aimed for another moment and released the arrow, the arrow struck its target and hit the knight right below the shoulder. The knight bellowed in pain.
Julian and Ayame continued their assault...

Suddenly, a black chainmail gauntlet wrapped around the knight's neck.
"Let them go," said a voice. The knight remained silent. The hand rose the figure into the air, and snapped his neck. The knight fell to the floor. Behind him was a black cloaked figure.
"'Tis a pity," it said, "Jessat was a good knight." The figure draped the hood off their head. The cloaked figure was a woman with silver hair, and skin as pale as moonlight. She had a stave in her right hand. Sheila walked up to the woman.
"Tiara Stardust," she said. The woman nodded.
"The plan was to arrest you, with no harm done. 'Tis a pity you chose to fight back. We'll have to use a little more force," she said. Ayame looked puzzled.
"We?" she asked. Tiara nodded. A cloked man walked to the side of Tiara. He had spiky yellow hair, and a rod with bull horns attached and a jewel on the end.
"Ambrose Filmann," he said. "The worst is coming." Then another cloaked man walked in. He had a metal mask on his upper face. He had long brown hair, and a jagged edged sword at his belt.
"Slagar Baron," he said. His voice was raspy, with a low tone. Sheila raised her sword.
"Be careful, everyone, these people are not to be trifled with," she said. Slagar chuckled.
"Come with us, or we'll use force." Julian scowled.
"We're not afraid of you," he said. Slagar frowned.
"Fine then, be that way," he said. He unsheathed his sword. It was brown, jagged, and curved. He swung it towards Sheila's blade, knocking it out of her hands. Tiara hit her with her stave, thwack!, knocking her out cold. Ambrose smiled. The Julian and the others moved towards Slagar's group. Ambrose raised his rod. Lightning shot out of the jewel, blasting everyone back.
"One thing's for sure," said Ambrose, "They're no Heaven Fencers." Slagar laughed. Everyone blacked out.
