Dear Weightlifting friends,

This will be the third edition of the Thor Cup, and the previous two versions were succesfully organised as a kind of Scandinavion team Championship.
The 2008 edition of the Thor Cup is an open tournament counting for the  IWF world ranking list and the competitions are planned from Thursday 15th till saturday 17th of may (IWF Calender 2008).

There will be live broadcasting on Icelandic TV on Saturday and in every bodyweightclass (male and female) there is a lot of prizemoney for the first three lifters.
The two best lifters on sinclair will also receive prize money.

A brandnew hotel with full board, sauna, training accomodation are provided and the end of the competition will be celebrated with a great banquet so I'm convinced that all the participants will have an unforgettable time at the Thor cup.
