In 1993 we spent 5 weeks in Pakistan & China.
We travelled to the north of Pakistan and went into China for about 2 weeks.
From Pakistan we crossed the Karakoram Highway into the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, also known as East Turkestan.
We stayed overnight in Tashkurgan and then we stopped at Karakul, where we slept in yurts.
From Karakul we went on to Kashgar. We were there long enough to go to the Sunday-market and it was really worth it...
We returned to Pakistan after our short visit to China.
