Ayse & Jan's Travelspot - Turkey Iran Tour 2002 - Itinerary

Those who've visited our site before, know that we've been to Turkey quite a few times and to Iran once. Ever since we came home from our trip to Iran, we wanted to go back. We've always wanted to travel by car to Turkey as well... so we thought we'd combine the two... and so we did : from April till the end of July 2002 we travelled through Turkey and Iran by car (Volvo V40 1.9 TD from 1998) together with our 2 kids Azade and Berkan. We covered 18266 km in exactly 15 weeks.

Turkey Iran Tour 2002 First we drove to Villach (Austria) and took the Optima Express car-train to Edirne (Turkey).
