TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE

Home Rick

This is my 1973 Bonneville, a really neat bike in fully original state. Even the paint is still original.

Rumour has it that an English bike is unreliable, that it makes your wife very angry when it leaks oil on the garage floor, ànd it is extremely difficult and expensive to maintain.
Let me tell you that even my wife loves this bike; it loses less oil than a modern bike and comes to life after the first kick! (most of the time).

What else is there to say? Just like the Peugeot 203, it's a journey back in time. The beautiful, dark sound and the good vibrations are simply heavenly. I don't think any modern bike can give you the feeling you get when riding a classic motorcycle.
I'm very well aware of the reputation of English motorcycles, but this bike has been cherished by its former owner. Every bolt is original. Parts that performed less, have been replaced by better (original) stuff.
The machine starts as quick as a modern bike, but it needs a strong and decisive kick. It has no electrical starter. Up 'til now, it has proven itself a reliable and valuable bike. I don't regret having bought it!
