Beginner's Guide

First I'll explain what you'll get for setting me as your recommender, and how to do it.
You don't Have to set me as recommender, you can just use 2 accounts and recommend yourself, but if you feel this site has helped you alot feel free to put me as recommender :)

What you will get for setting me as your Recommender

Rewards I give you for setting me as your recommender:

Level20
250.000[M]
Level30
500.000[M]
Level40
1.000.000[M]
Level50
1.500.000[M]

How to set me as your recommender

The reason I suggested to read how to add me as recommender first, is because you will have to make a new account.
Only the first character you make on an account can enter someone as their recommender. If you're a new player and your character isn't even lvl20, don't doubt and just make a new account. All the good rewards come from making me your recommender!

After you make your first character on a new account, you will get the following box:

Type 'unclouded' in the textbox and click the "Ok" button.

There, now you're all set!

Starting to play (Level1-10)

First you have to do is just follow all of Sarah's quests, this is the quickest way to level10 (shouldn't take more than an hour) and you learn All the basics of the game by doing the quests.

If you accidently closed the quest window and don't know where to find here, I hope the following 2 pictures will help you out:

At one point she will ask for you to read a book, just read the swords tech [bgn] book that she gave you. At level10 you can get your skillpoint back by deducting it from the swords skill. ONLY at level10.

After Sarah's quest, just follow Siegfried's and Giselle's quests. Keep using your bamboo sword untill level10!

Level10+

Choosing your weapon

Now that you've reached level10 it's time for you to choose a weapon. (and Don't forget to deduct that skillpoint from your swords skill, unless you're gonna choose swords)

Sword = Close Combat, High Attack Speed, Low Damage
Spear = Close Combat, Balanced Attack Speed and Damage
Axe = Close Combat, Low Attack Speed, High Damage
Bow = Ranged Combat, High Attack Speed, Low Damage
Gun = Ranged Combat, Low Attack Speed, High Damage
Cane = Magic Combat, Super Damage, Super Expensive

Now making a Caner as your first character is without a doubt out of question, you'll never have a spare marble. Swords,Spears and Axes are cheapest of course but Bow and Gun is relatively cheap too, you just need arrows and bullets. The reason why you'll want to make a fighter first (and not an artisan) is because you'll need a good hunter character to supply your artisan character with materials later. Trust me. So for now, just choose the weapon you like best and buy 10 technique [BGN] books of it. So for example, if you've chosen Axes, you buy 10 Axe Techinque [BGN] books from the market, and read them. Next you'll need a weapon. Look for the weapon of your level in the info window and then go buy one from the market (it will be a level8 weapon). And go sell your bamboo sword to Wallace.

UPDATE: Since new patch(August2007), everybody can read all MANUFACTURE BOOKS without losing skillpoints. So just level up first and you can learn any manu skills you want later in the game on that same character!

Stats

Strength: Each 5 points in strength give you +1 attack(damage).
Agility: Agility determines your hit and dodge chance (also determines your hit-rate with magic attacks!)
Wisdom: Each point in wisdom gives you 4MP. Also increases the damage of magic attacks.
Vitality: Each point in vitality gives you 4HP.
Dexterity: Increases chance of making better items when manufacturing.
Luck: Increases chance of getting better drops when hunting.

General Guidelines for dividing stats

People with Close Combat Weapon, just keep your strength high enough for your next weapon each time, divide the rest over agility and vitality.
People with Ranged Combat Weapon should keep their agility high enough for their next weapon and divide the rest in strength(for armor) and vitality.
Caners should focus on wisdom. And divide the other stats between agility and vitality!.

Start leveling

Ok with that out of the way, you're ready to start leveling again!
You just have to keep following Siegfried's Quests and do Giselle's Quests with the loot you receive.
When Siegfried or Giselle send you to a Hunting Ground that is too hard for you, just look the Jack NPC to do some timed quests in an easier Hunting Grounds.
Once you completed all of Siegfried's and Giselle's quests, you can do Jean's quests in combination with Jack Timed Quests to maximize your experience gathering!
