My name is Alfons van Sweevelt. I've got more than thirty years of experience in the dog sport. As a little boy I was already fond of dogs, andt I bought my first dog when I left my parenthood. It was immediately a German Shepherd. From the beginning on I was crazy about my dog. She surprised me every day with her friendship and devotion.

I joined an organisation of German Shepherds and in the following years I was introduced into the world of working dogs and expositioning. After several years, walking around local, I wanted more. Probably because I was so affected by the dogs microbe.

The BZS in 1978 at München was my first one. There I made contact with people who were working with their dogs at already a high level. They achieved the result of Auslese in München, with a bitch which was produced in Belgium; Zolli von der Zuchtspitze. Those people thought me a lot concerning showing dogs. They advised me and gave me opportunities which I accepted with both hands.

Some time later I met Walter Martin. His knowledge and support, brought me at a higher level. That time I produced the litter of my life! The combination between Tony von de Wienerau and my dog Nindra vom Tamaraspitze was a huge success. Walter Martin saw I was motivated and he gave me the chance to show top dogs like Vanta von der Wienerau, Zamb, Yello and many others.

Showing these dogs at the BZS gave an enormous kick. On top of that, my dogs came closer to the top. In Dortmund I became SG 31 in the Young-Dog class with my dog Pacco vom Tamaraspitze.

Today my dream remains to become world champion at the BZS. But that is a dream that many people share.
In all those years, my hobby has become a passion.
