Aranis - Songs from Mirage
The third full CD of Aranis sounds totally different from earlier recordings.
To the instrumental ensemble three female voices were added. This has only
reinforced their adventurous music with more power and scope. The music
has gained in intensity, sensitivity and dynamics. 'Songs from Mirage' is
a musical journey without intermezzo's. It only ends when the last notes
fade away. With guest musicians Els van Laethem, Anne Marie Honggokoessoemo,
Herlinde Ghekiere (voices), Linde de Groof (violin), Els Vrints (piano)/
Ward De Vleeschhouwer (piano)

together with three other guest musicians- of J.S. Bach / G. Kurtag, F.
Poulenc, HyeKyung Lee, Stephen Montague and some of my own works.

J.S. Bach: work for four hand piano in a transcription of G.Kurtag.
Francis Poulenc: Sonata for piano solo.
HyeKyung Lee: worldcreation written for the complete ensemble, Shadowing
for clarinet and alto saxophone, Musique Légère for piano
and altosaxofoon, Gust of Embers for violin, clarinet and piano, Gasp for
piano solo.
Ward De Vleeschhouwer: worldcreation of Snack for four hand piano, selections
of my album Zebra Crossing for piano solo published with HRDSCR
Editions.
Stephen Montague: Southern Lament for piano solo.

Ward and Aranis

and Europe.
